How billing works
Personal and Plus
Personal remains free. Plus is purchased from the extension after email approval and is billed monthly.
Business trial
Creating a Business workspace starts a 14-day trial. Add billing from Admin → Overview before it ends.
Business early access
Create and test a Business workspace without a card while early access is active. Administrators will be notified before paid plans begin.
Enterprise agreement
Enterprise pricing and rollout scope are agreed after seat count, provisioning and deployment requirements are reviewed.
Common questions
Does Veil receive our passphrases?
No. Personal and Business passphrases are entered and stored locally. Business administrators distribute the passphrase separately through their own approved password manager.
Do recipients need Veil?
Not for Personal hosted unlock links or Veil+ magic links. Business tokens and in-page organization unlock require an approved Veil browser.
What happens after the Business trial?
Cloud joins, policy sync and admin services pause until billing is active. Locally held passphrases and protected content remain on users’ devices.
Will early-access Business workspaces be charged automatically?
No. No card is required during early access, and administrators will be notified before paid plans begin.
Can a Business customer move to Enterprise later?
Yes. The same core Veil deployment can move to a managed enterprise rollout when provisioning, scale or governance requirements increase.
