Terms of use

Veil · a Goldspire Ventures Ltd product · Last updated 14 July 2026

Agreement

These terms apply when you install, access or use Veil. If you use Veil for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization. Additional written terms may apply to Enterprise customers and take precedence where they conflict with this page.

The service

Veil provides browser-based tools that can detect, encrypt, mask, tokenize, share or otherwise protect selected sensitive text in supported web applications. Feature availability depends on the plan, browser, website, organization policy and deployment method.

Account and browser security

Passphrase responsibility

Personal and Business passphrases are customer-held. Goldspire does not receive or recover them. You are responsible for storing them securely, distributing Business passphrases through an appropriate password manager or equivalent controlled channel, rotating them when necessary, and ensuring authorized recipients can access them.

Acceptable use

You must not use Veil to violate law, infringe rights, evade lawful security controls, distribute malware, gain unauthorized access, interfere with the service, probe other customers, or submit content you are not authorized to process. You must not attempt to extract another customer’s keys, ciphertext, account data or security events.

Your responsibilities

Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans renew for the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled. Prices, included usage, minimum seats and taxes are shown before purchase. You may manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, amounts already paid are non-refundable.

Customer content and intellectual property

You retain rights in content you process through Veil. You grant Goldspire only the limited rights required to host ciphertext, operate requested sharing, process account and security metadata, provide support and maintain the service. Goldspire and its licensors retain all rights in Veil, including software, documentation, branding and service improvements.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy describes how information is processed. Organizations are responsible for giving their users any additional workforce or customer notices required for their deployment.

Availability and changes

We may update Veil to improve security, compatibility or functionality. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, address a security risk, comply with law or maintain the service. We do not guarantee compatibility with every website, editor, browser extension or third-party service.

Security limitations

Veil provides field-level browser protection. It is not end-to-end encrypted email and does not protect information after authorized decryption, compromised endpoints, screenshots, keyloggers, message metadata or unsupported applications.

Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veil is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that detection is complete, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that Veil will prevent every disclosure. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive loss. Goldspire’s aggregate liability relating to a paid service is limited to the fees paid for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Termination

You may stop using Veil at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach, non-payment, unlawful use, security risk or service discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or agreed Enterprise terms.
